Zune Commerical - Sharing Theme

I just saw this video on YouTube. Not sure I am a big fan of it. I am guessing the advert theme is all about sharing, one of the strengths of the Zune. Thoughts?

Zunes Sound Quality > iPod

Well here is some nice news for the Zune. Crave from Cnet have carried out a little test to see wich music device has the better sound quality. Instead of me ruining the surprise, have a watch and see what the results are.

Marketplace to Drop Zune DRM?

 Atleast for some of the Zune Marketplace’s catalog we may see the option of purchasing DRM-free tracks. This comes after the huge media attention driven by Apple by introducing DRM-free tracks. The blogosphere and the general online community loves the idea of DRM-free media and Microsoft seems to be heading in the same direction.

 This may or may not extend past EMI. But Microsoft has said that they have been talking with various labels on making this happen. This would certainly bring some more people to the Zune and would I believe help remove those awful limitations on sharing music. It would also bring on some ’switchers’ who want DRM-free music. This will obviously not effect the ZunePass because DRM is required on that otherwise RIAA would go nuts.

Nokia 3310 = iPod

Weird title hu? Well not really, I was emailed this excellent in depth article on the way the market moves with consumer electronics. The article looks at the Nokia 3310, this phone was every where in the late 90’s when the mobile phone market exploded, it really was the phone to have. Just as iPod is now, its the media player to have.

Microsoft buys out ZuneBoards, Sells to Apple and now the iZune!

Don’t you just love April? to be more specific, April Fools Day?
You get all these exciting interesting stories going on, specially in the Zune world, and wow there is allot of change for one day!

Here is what we have going on in the Zunesphere:

Apparently Microsoft has brought out my buddies at Zuneboards.com for, wait for it… $95k, pretty cool indeed! I expect my slice soon ;)

Then we have the new iZune coming, which Zunerama broke the news to earlier today!

And last but not least, surprise surprise Apple has brought out Zune, I know I totally saw it coming!

So to recap, Microsoft brought out Zuneboards.com which then got sold along with every thing else Zune to Apple and now the iZune is coming out. Wow hard to keep up here!
