Amazon has put up a little flash add for the Zune. The Zune add is in flash and goes for around 2 mins showing off all the features and the things you can do with the Zune. Nothing special but worth a look non the less.

[Thanks evilangelic]
No big news to write home about, but none the less this is a Zune site. A keen eyed ZuneInfo.com user ( saran81kid1 ) spotted some Zune banner adds on the MTV web site a few days ago. These adds were to coincide with the updated viral marketing site, ComingZune.com which the adds link to.

Thanks saran81kid1

We have all seen this picture of the sleek black Zune haven’t we? Well have you ever thought about the band thats displayed on the Zune screen? Thanks to an email I received today from Phil, who told me about how he dug around and found the bands MySpace page.
The band, Bitter Sweet is a Los Angeles-based Pop/Electronic act who released their debut album, The Mating Game on April 4th, 2006 through Quango Music Group. The band have been talking about how excited they are to be part of the included pre-loaded content on the Zune when its released this holiday season. Also joining Bitter Sweet from the Quango Music Group are the Kraak and Smaak video.

A small video clip sent in by a user is of him interviewing is 15 year old son about what he thinks about the Zune and the features that should be included or not included. Not much to it, but its is still interesting to see what the younger generation is looking for with in a new portable media player.
To view the clip click here. So have a watch and let us know what you think.
And thanks to Michael Gannotti for sharing this.

It’s something that has been speculated as part of Zune since the beginning. It may be an edge over the iPod, but it also has its share of disadvantages.  We have not heard anything officially of the Wi-Fi capabilities though certain insiders have hinted at it.
Microsoft hopes to win people over with this technology. The Wi-Fi connection would be used to download music on the go. It is also believed that you could share music with people around you and communicate with people.  Currently, MusicGremlin is the only service to provide a similar service through Wi-Fi.
Apple has considered adding Wi-Fi to their players in the past, but have not implemented in due to certain issues. A major issue related with the service is that Wi-Fi connections are not available everywhere at this time. Battery life is another huge issue because Wi-Fi drains battery life.
Apple chose not to add Wi-Fi primarily because their batteries were not powerful enough to last long enough with Wi-Fi working on it. On average Wi-Fi often reduces the battery life significantly. This will also be an issue Zune will likely face. However, Zune may offer a larger battery which would not compromise battery life for Wi-Fi.
The Wi-Fi capability could provide many services to your Zune in the future. TV is a strong possibility through devices such as SlingBox or using similar technology to Sony’s LocationFree TV’s. VOIP is another feature that may become available in the future. There are a number of possibilities on Wi-Fi and Microsoft has an edge if they come out with it in the beginning.
Wi-Fi may eventually become the standard, but there are obstacles that must be crossed in order to make it more efficient for customers.  We need to increase the speeds of Wi-Fi connections and we have to cover most areas with the Wi-Fi service.
As you can see there are many advantages and disadvantages of bringing Wi-Fi onto the mainstream market. By what I have seen Microsoft will roll Wi-Fi out, but the question is how effective will it be.

Could Satellite Radio really work with Zune? Nobody really thought about Satellite Radio as a strong feature that will be included with Zune. But as I did my research I found out that Satellite Radio could be a low cost and effective feature for Zune.
First Off, many believe that if Microsoft chooses to adapt this feature it is open for both XM and SIRIUS. The truth is that XM Satellite Radio has the clear advantage because they are indeed ahead of SIRIUS in the market and Microsoft is already working with XM. The features that XM provides are perfect for this type of system which was clearly visible during my research.
Though many believe this will increase the price of Zune. It really won’t impact the price too much. It would certainly add more value to the player because the price of a basic standalone is around $70 and if this could be an add-on that cost Microsoft less than $10.
The way Microsoft can accomplish such a goal is by taking advantage of their WiFi connections. In terms of monthly fees, they already are working close with XM and to get XM Online for $2.99/month. They must then work to get full WiFi coverage across major urban cities. Some cities such as Toronto have Wifi across the city using hydro lines.
The thing that Microsoft needs to obtain in the market is a clear feature that iPod can’t have. If XM become a success on Zune, Apple can easily copy these features and team up with SIRIUS. As it states Satellite Radio is really a possibility in Zune, though many doubt it.
