Currently, the Zune 80 is only available in black. Last Valentine’s Day Microsoft released a limited Red Zune. There is no schedule for the releases yet, but Cesar Menendez has confirmed that the red Zune will be in retail stores soon.
The new Microsoft Zune 80s are now in stock at Amazon.com. It is even at a reduced price of $239.99!
If you are still undecided about getting a Zune this is an excellent video of the Zune 80 (and Zune 4 and 8). If you are undecided about a great present for Christmas I highly recommend the Zune 30, Zune 80 or of of the Flash Zune 4 or 8s.

The word on the street is that Microsoft is ramping up the production of the Zune 80 and a new stock of Zunes will be shipped out to retailers in the next 7-14 days. Expect a mad rush for these Zunes just like the quick sell out that occurred in the first 15 hours on 13 November. If you really want a Zune 80 for Christmas I suggest you pre-order a Zune at your local retailer or pre-order online at Amazon.com

Microsoft’s Zune 80 has won PC Magazine’s “Editor Choice” award. You can read the full review here. This is telling since the iPod Touch and several other new MP3 players have hit the market around the same time as the Zune 80.
