New Zune Video/Add
The ComingZune.com site, which is Microsofts viral marketing campaign for Zune has been updated with a slightly different look and an added video. Unsure if this is an add which will be on TV or just a little clip for the site. None the less pretty interesting, so have a look and let us know.
I saw the new iPod has “Instant Search”. Does anybody know if Zune has anything similiar?
Does Zune have analog input?
That ad says… so much about the Zune. Is the burning bird a metaphor for how well the Zune will survive in the iPod-dominated market or does Microsoft intend to use Dell’s batteries for its Zune?
I think the phoenix is supposed to be like one Zune user and then he shared his taste of music (heavy metal in this case) with the other bird and then I guess the other bird got to like the music and then became a fan. LOL or I could be way off.
Or possible the phoenix is the Zune user and then the big bird is the iPod user, but then the Zune user gets the iPod user to convert and then the former iPod user is now a Zune user. That sounds a bit more reasonable lol.
I think it is showing the Zune as colorful and new, while the iPod is being shown as tasteless and bland and that the Zune is converting the iPod user market to a Zune user market. I am an iPod user, but I am glad to finally see a worthy competitor enter the market because that means both Apple and Microsoft will put out increasingly better products for increasingly lower prices.
