Zune vs iPod - Side by Side
Took a while, but thanks to Jake Ludington who snapped a few pictures showing a real Zune against a real iPod (no more 3d comparisons) The pictures give a much better comparison from all angles of the Zune against the iPod. Clearly the Zune is bigger, but then again most iPod have those skins/covers on to not let the surface get scratched. Either way, you decide.

Update: It appears that the ipod in here is actually one of the new 80 gig iPods, so this might not be the most true to size comparison as ideally it should be up next to a 30 gig iPod.
That’s either the 60 or 80 GB iPod so it’s not a valid comparison. The 30GB iPod is even thinner than that!

the back cover seems to be plastic and makes the zune look cheap and probly feel cheap or is that just me
Man, the Zune is pretty thick, almost double the thickness of the 30 gig Ipod (the one in the pictures looks like the 80 gig version). That’s not good…

the zune is NOT twice the thickness of the 30 gb ipod.
iPod (30): thickness 0.4 inches.
Zune(30): Thickness 0.55 inches.
