Updating the Zune Firmware
On 13 November, Microsoft will be their next generation Zune 4, 8 and 80. The great thing about these new Zunes means that the 1.3 million or so Zune 30 owners get a new Zune software or Firmware upgrade as well. If you upgrade your Zune 30 to the newest Zune Firmware on 13 November you will have the exact same software as the Zune 80s. Here is a simple tutorial on upgrading your Zune software/firmware on 13 November.
Upgrading your Zune Software/Firmware
1. Connect your sync cable to your Zune (or Zune Dock) and then to your computer USB port
2. On your computer, start your Zune software
3. On the Navigation pane right-click your device and click Check for Zune Device Updates.
4. Follow the instructions
u think the update will be available,in the 12th,at 9:00pm pacific time?
It’s 00:17 here in Europe now. The updates are not available yet.:/ Gonna probably go to bed and catch up first thing in the morning. Thought it would be cool to do it when the clock strikes 12.
I’m not sure it will be update at 9:00pm pacfic time I was thinking it will be update at 12:00am pacfic time if you were lucky to update your zune software please reply this message

It’s 3:03 AM, 11/13 here on gmt -5, and there is no update yet. I’m not sure about anything. I’m so hoping that it comes up soon and it wasn’t delayed. The zune site is down too, so I dunno
At 10:30AM on the East Coast: Checked for updates of my Zune 30 software & got the response that my software was up to date.
Downloaded the new software from the Zune site; ran it and got an Error Msg that it could not connect to the MS site.
Found out that my Firewall was stopping the connection to the MS site.
So, I have updated now.
Got another problem/situation: I am adding about 15,000 images. It is taking so long (adds about 20 or 30 an hour) that it will take several months to SYNC.
Is something amiss with my Zune & software or is everyone having this problem?
Its now Nov 25th and I am still syncing pix to my 30 Zune. It does about 400 or 500 a night (12 hours!!). At the this rate I should have all 15000 by Christmas - working around the clock. Has anyone else got this problem?
MY COMPUTER IS BROKE THAT HAS THE SOFTWARE ORIGINALY ON IT SO HOW DO I DOWNLOAD THE SOFTWARE FROM MY FRIENDS COMLUTER SO THAT I CAN UPDATE THE FIRMWARE BECUASE MY ZUNE ISNT EVEN TURNING ON BECAUSE IT SAYS THAT I HAVE TO UPDATE THE ZUNE FIRMWARE
how come the zune marketplace is so blurry after the updates. On the original marketplace everything was clear, and after I updated to the new software everything was blurry.
