Zune Firmware 1.3 Out

Zune MarketPlace

Just a reminder that the firmware update that you’ve been waiting for is now available. There is nothing new in the firmware other than fixing a couple of issues.

These are the things you’ll find on the update, as listed by Cesar for ZuneInsider:

  • We’re fixing the skipping problem that some users were experiencing – that is, content acquired from Zune Marketplace will no longer skip when played on the device.
  • Improved device and software reliability, when it comes to device detection, and improved sync’ing.
  • We’ve made some changes to the FM Tuner so it no longer drains the battery when in sleep mode.

Had a few problems with the installation but I got it to work. I wanted to see at least some minor visible change…but nothing. Maybe next time.

[…] If your a bookworm or dont mind the odd book here and there, well here is some news for you. It was hoped by many that Zune team would release a firmware udate eventurally that would allow you to load ebooks (books on a computer, usally in .PDF format) onto your Zune and be able to read it where every you are on the go, unfortunately this has yet to happen or even been talked about to be happening in the near future. So the guys  at Instructables.comhave developed a nice little solution to it. […]
