Zune MarketPlace for International Users
Even though Microsoft is asking international users, including Australian users not to get the Zune yet, however it is pretty easy to get your hands on one. However, using the Zune Marketplace is where international users fall short as they can not use the store to purchase music from. Untill now that is. There is a work around that will allow international users to get their hands on music from the Zune Marketplace.
It takes advantage of the fact that the Zunetag can be related to an Xbox Live account. So what we will do is to sign up for an Xbox Live account, state our country as USA, and then sign up for the Zunetag using the Xbox Live info.
1: Go to www.xbox.com. Make sure that you have reached the English-language site by clicking the “International” link on the top of the page, and select “United States”.
2: Click the My Xbox button on the main menu (link), and click sign up to register an account. Note: Specify United States every time you need to fill out country details.
3: After registration, open your Zune Software, and Register a new account. Follow the instructions until you get the option to “Already have an Xbox live account or a ZunePass”. Select this, insert the details, and you’re all set!
There you have it, welcome to the social!

Wow, I would have never thought of that. Really cool…for the international folks…I feel for you guys.
I live in Colombia and I’ve been able to purchase music from the Zune marketplace using microsoft points.
hey mate, i have a zune and living in the UK. for some reason my billing details got locked on the US option since i used the 14 day pass trial. the only thing i can say, please wait until it’s open to all the world. i am really sad about the way the support team from zune and also from xbox live treated me. i had an issue with mr. rocco from the zune support team who seemed to have no knowledge from the product and ended up accusing me of doing something wrong and having united states at my billing details was the least i could have and if I was not happy i should just create a new live id account. doing that i would lose emails, contacts on msn messenger, live spaces and everything… i can’t believe i still defend microsoft.
