Zune System Requirements
- Windows Vista
- Windows XP Home Edition Service Pack 2 (SP2), Windows XP Professional SP2, Windows XP Tablet PC Edition SP2, or Windows XP Media Center Edition 2005 with KB900325 (Rollup Update 2 for Windows XP Media Center Edition 2005)
- Mac OSX with BootCamp (running either Windows Vista or Windows XP).
Zune software won’t run on versions of Windows earlier than Windows XP SP2, any 64-bit version of Windows XP, or any version of Windows Server
I also suggest using the Windows Update Page to update to the newest version of XP or Vista.
is it necessary to be connected to the internet, with the understanding that if your not you will be entering all music info. have friend that recently bought zune but will not get internet and is having some trouble sync ing zune. asking him to update zune to pc and need to go to internet site. is there a way to bypass this, did he do something wrong?
